Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Dniro application and website at dniro.ca, operated by Dniro Ltd. ("Dniro", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Canada to use Dniro. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your password or allow others to access your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@dniro.ca if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. The Service

Dniro is a personal finance tracking tool that helps you view bank account balances, categorize transactions, set budgets, and track savings goals. The service connects to your financial institutions through Plaid.

Not Financial Advice

Dniro is an informational tool only. Nothing in the service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in Dniro.

Accuracy

We rely on third-party providers (Plaid, your bank) for financial data. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that balances, transactions, or other data are complete or error-free. Always verify important financial information with your bank directly.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Dniro offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through Settings or the Stripe billing portal.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds.
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions are honoured until renewal.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the service
• Use automated tools to access the service beyond normal use
• Transmit malicious code or interfere with the service's operation
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

6. Intellectual Property

The Dniro name, logo, and all content, features, and functionality of the service are owned by Dniro Ltd. and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your personal financial data.

7. Third-Party Services

Dniro integrates with third-party services including Plaid, Stripe, and others. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law:

• Dniro is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 CAD, whichever is greater.
• We are not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by data inaccuracy, service interruptions, or third-party provider failures.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion permanently removes all your data including bank connections, transactions, budgets, goals, and profile information. This action cannot be undone. Active subscriptions will be cancelled.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behaviour. We will provide notice where practicable.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
